Angles & Muse

Our partner for the inaugural film and media arts workshop in Lagos, Nigeria was the non-profit organization and residency Angels and Muse. Founded by renowned artist, writer, and designer Victor Ehikhamenor nearly a decade ago, Angels and Muse is a bridge for African creatives to the world and an important space for artists from the diaspora to return to.

Blanketed by a lush green carpet of vegetation and located in Lagos' Ikoyi neighborhood, Angels and Muse was designed by award-winning architect and designer Tosin Oshinowo. Over the course of a week, workshop participants, artists in the Collective, and members of Lagos' robust creative community gathered at the space to discuss and experiment with cinema as a form of intellectual infrastructure.
